The evening commenced with lighting of lamp by guests of honour, Mrs. & Mr. Gul Malani followed by felicitations of those, who have nurtured Pradarshak through its 20-year long journey. The evening was filled with melody with soft unplugged music at the backdrop of some spectacular camaraderie at the venue. The event was a grand success as it marked a large august gathering of art connoisseurs, art lovers, architects, artists... who joined in the joie de vivre.

The gathering also came alive as special guests were portrayed live by artists Gayatri Mehta and Sachin Kumawat, who sketched live portraits; the former using charcoal on cartridge paper, etching deep lines into the personalities of her subjects; while the latter used pencil on paper sketching briskly in minimal strokes, drawing out the patron’s persona. This probably was the best gift for their take-home. The gallery also handed out daintily wrapped twin-chocolate flowers with ‘in togetherness, we blossom’ transcribed on them as a token of their appreciation.

To Lalit and Savitha,
ReplyDeleteThank you for a very interesting and enjoyable evening.
Best Always,
Sudhir Diwan
